HWY 11 north closed due to ‘serious motor vehicle collision’, fire officials

UPDATE: 4:10 PM – Four people have been transported to hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 11 north of North Bay.

That’s according to the OPP who says officers are currently on scene.

They add the investigation is still in the preliminary stages and more information will be shared when available.

The highway will remain closed until the investigation is complete.

North Bay Fire and Emergency Services officials say HWY 11 closed north of the city due to a “serious motor vehicle collision”.

Greg Saunders, Deputy Chief, says fire crews are currently on scene and performing a vehicle extrication, to free someone trapped in their vehicle.

They add the OPP will be scene to conduct an investigation.

Ontario511 says the highway is closed in both directions between Collins Rd and Marten River.
