A couple of road projects in Mattawa and West Nipissing are receiving provincial funding.
Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing announced West Nipissing receives $275,000 for the resurfacing of Front Street from Holditch Street to Michaud Street.
He also announced $305,000 for detailed design work with the rehabilitation of Main Street from Mauril Belanger Bridge to the Hwy 17 Roundabout in Mattawa.
“Our government will continue to provide the funding municipalities need to ensure our transportation infrastructure is maintained for generations to come,” says Fedeli.
The funding is being delivered through the Connecting Links program, which helps maintain vital roads and bridges that connect people to good jobs, support the movement of goods and drive economic growth in Northern and rural communities.
