OPP report trespassing complaint leads to charges

A trespassing complaint in Sturgeon Falls has led to charges for a Sault Ste. Marie resident.

Nipissing West OPP say just before midnight on June 11 officers responded to a report of a person trespassing on private property on Front Street.  

After arresting the person for obstructing police, the OPP says a search located a prohibited device, break and enter tools and an edged weapon.

A 30-year-old from the Soo is facing 11 charges including possession of a prohibited device or ammunition and seven counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition.

The accused was held for a bail hearing today June 13 in North Bay.
