The North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) Foundation is marking 25 years of generosity and community impact.
A weeklong tribute, from Oct. 7-11, celebrated the role supporters have played in making exceptional healthcare possible, close to home.
“We couldn’t be prouder of what our community has achieved together,” says Tammy Morison, NBRHC Foundation President & CEO. “This celebration isn’t just about the past 25 years—it’s about the future we’re building together. The contributions of our community through philanthropy will continue to shape the next generations of care at NBRHC.”
The Foundation started in 1999, and its first task was to assist with raising funds to build the new hospital, which opened in 2011.
Funds are now raised for life-saving medical equipment.
“Many lives have been touched and saved through the availability of new technologies and services made possible through community support,” says Morison. “The voices of these patients reinforced the impact of past donations while looking forward to future needs.”
Fundraising events like Our Hospital Walk/Run, the Papa Joe Memorial Ride for Cancer, Osprey Links Charity Golf Gala, & Chat4Chad have helped to raise millions of dollars for critical hospital initiatives.
