We have reached out to local candidates and asked them a series of questions that are on the mind of voters across the riding. Topics range from what they’re hearing at the door, positions on the trade war, cost of living pressures and more.

Here’s what they had to say, in their own words.

Tell us about yourself

I’m a mother of three, driven by a passion to steer Canada toward a better future. My journey started in the 1990s when my children suffered vaccine injuries, sparking a lifelong commitment to protect Canadian families and hold big pharma accountable. I co-founded Take Action Canada, served as President of Children’s Health Defense, and stood with the Freedom Convoy to defend our rights during the COVID mandates.

My goal? To restore Canada—its freedoms, its prosperity, and its hope—so our children inherit a stronger nation. I believe the PPC’s bold vision for individual liberty and economic opportunity is the way forward. I’m eager to connect with you in the weeks ahead. Together, we can rebuild a Canada we’re proud to call home.

What are you hearing when door-knocking?

We are hearing a desire for change and a lot of fear. People are suffering and they are nervous to vote outside of their comfort zone – our job is to empower people through education and allow people to truly understand how our electoral system actually works and why our country has found itself where it is today. People have been very happy to hear from us, to learn, and to see that there is a way forward that doesn’t include the parties that have gotten us where we are today. People are worried about their adult children; they are concerned about the housing crisis and the lack of employment opportunities. They are concerned about the cost of living and the fact that we are living in a country where prosperity has become harder to achieve.

What would you do about cost of living pressures in your riding?

The PPC is pushing for a full moratorium on immigration until our housing crisis is fixed. We have sold our children’s futures in the name of diversity and multiculturalism. We cannot continue importing people into our country when we do not have the infrastructure to support them – it is not fair to us OR them. If people are coming here to contribute and find a better life then they should have the opportunity to do so – but not at the cost of the people already living here. We need to fix housing, homelessness, crime, and drugs in this country and we cannot do it while importing the world. Our youth are unable to find employment and our young families are unable to buy homes; no one can afford food, and our access to health care has plummeted. We can fix this by fixing our completely broken immigration system – moratorium on immigration and deportation of illegal residents.

Why should someone vote for you?

I believe in this country and I believe in its people. I want to represent the people of Sudbury East – Manitoulin – Nickel Belt in Ottawa, not Ottawa here. I am passionate, as evidenced by my life of activism; protecting children and Canadians at large against the machine that does everything it can to oppress our people and diminish our quality of life. The parties that have always controlled us are not going to give up the power they have accumulated over centuries – it is time to do something different and your vote for me will allow you to be truly represented and have an actual voice in the halls of power.

What is your position on tariffs and the trade war?

The PPC is against retaliatory tariffs. President Trump has been very clear – Canada needs to fix its border, including the drug trafficking crisis. Canada should be concerned about these issues – they should be top of mind in every one of us. The PPC wants to secure our borders, crack down on illegal immigration, make sure that drug manufacturing and trafficking is dealt with, and that we can get back to a good relationship with our closest ally – the United States of America. We will repair this crucial relationship and make sure that Canadians are not suffering under a retaliatory system. We will also do what America is asking of us – produce our vast natural resources, refine them, and sell them on the world market. We have sold off our resources to foreign interests and shut down companies to satisfy climate hysteria. We want to reinvigorate our nation and make sure that Canadians are reaping the benefits of this vast and plentiful nation we get to call home.

What are potential solutions to housing affordability and homelessness?

The PPC has proposed a total moratorium on immigration until our housing crisis is fixed and withdrawing Canada from its foreign aid spending until our own people are secure and stable. It makes no sense to be spending billions of dollars overseas while our people are suffering record levels of homelessness and addiction. We will withdraw from our foreign spending and ensure that Canadian tax dollars are spent here in this country to make sure that we become prosperous , properly housed, and safe. This is Canada First. This is Canadians First.

Are there any final thoughts on any topic that you would like to share?

The People’s Party has an extensive platform that covers the most important issues that we are facing today. We have made a commitment to make sure our platform is consistent over time – we stand on principles and are not swayed as the wind changes. We know what is right and what is wrong and we will continue to be consistent in our messaging. I strongly encourage people to vote their conscience. This is not a game of sportsball – this is the future of our country and the country we are leaving for our children and grandchildren.
