Water and wastewater infrastructure work is starting up in the King and Ethel streets area of Sturgeon Falls.
The municipality says the road is also being reconstructed in phases this year.
Work from Market to Mackie Street starts on Monday.
Officials say detours will be in place, and safe pedestrian routes will be provided.

Road access will only be given to local traffic and emergency services.
The municipality is thanking residents for their patience and asking motorists to drive safely and according to construction signage.
