A former resident of Espanola, who now lives in Cape Breton, is charged with sexual exploitation, sexual interference and sexual assault. The charges against Dale Rancourt involve a girl under 16. Rancourt was better known to area Northerners as Klutzy the Clown. The 51-year-old worked as a clown in the north for many years and continued on in the profession when he moved to the Maritimes.
