West Nipissing Officers have arrested a man after officers were called to a home on Highway 17 in Sturgeon Falls.
Officers say that an altercation took place between two people, where one person was assaulted, threatened and confined. The victim suffered minor injuries.
After the investigation, officers received an arrest warrant. Officers say the accused turned himself in to police and was arrested. A 29-year-old man, with no known address, has been charged with:
- Assault
- Uttering Threats – Cause Bodily Harm
- Uttering Threats – Damage Property
- Forcible Confinement
The man is being held in custody pending a bail hearing in North Bay. Police received the call on November 27 for the assault which took place on November 25.
