Mental health support is the big winner after Chat4Chad’s 2nd Annual Gala Fundraiser.
Over 400 people gathered at Canadore College’s Aviation Hangar on Saturday May 25 with a record setting amount of money raised for Chat4Chad.
“My family and I are blown away by the support that the North Bay community has shown for mental health support,” says Wade Ringler, Chat4Chad founder and Chad’s brother. “While we are still calculating the final amount, we can safely say that we raised $225,000, making it the largest single-day fundraiser in North Bay’s history”.
This brings the total amount raised by Chat4Chad to just under $400,000 since being founded 14 months ago.
Along with a silent auction, 100% of bar profits Saturday night were donated by Churchill’s.
Chat4Chad aims to bring awareness, resources, and funding to those experiencing mental health challenges in North Bay.
Their goal is to carry on Chad’s legacy and remove the stigma associated with mental health.
Funds donated through Chat4Chad initiatives support patients directly or through mental health programs at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
