For the first time in over a year the number of job postings was up in Nipissing.
The Labour Market Group reports 501 job postings in April.
Officials say that’s about a three percent increase year-over-year while it’s nearly identical to the number from March.
Almost 270 unique employers posted jobs in April.

The top five include:
- Near North District School Board
- North Bay Regional Health Centre
- Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario
- Ed Seguin & Sons Trucking and Paving
- Ontario Northland
Health Care & Social Assistance was the top hiring industry followed by Retail Trade.
Educational Services rounds out the top three.
