Scotiabank has acknowledged it is experiencing a technical issue where some of its clients’ inbound payments, including direct deposits and cheque deposits, are not being applied to their accounts.
A post on X, formerly Twitter, says the bank is actively working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Listeners to our radio station reported their pay deposits were made overnight, along with droves of other customers who took to social media.
Outage monitoring website Downdetector reported about 5,000 outages related to the bank by 9 am Friday.
