Delays being experienced at Northeastern Ontario hospitals

Hospitals across the northeast are experiencing delays because of an issue with the Electronic Medical Record system.

On social media, the West Nipissing General Hospital said outpatient lab services were cancelled on Thursday.

Officials are asking for patience as teams are temporarily using paper-based documentation.  

They also say their team is actively working to resolve the issue and restore full functionality as soon as possible.  

Health Sciences North in Sudbury says the system plays a vital role in accessing important patient information, care plans, and medical history.
